Despite the craziness--and by "craziness" we mean "number of affairs"--revealed in the past couple weeks, Tiger Woods has been named Athlete of the Decade by Associated Press member newspaper editors: "His 56 PGA Tour victories in one incomparable decade were more than anyone except four of golf's greatest players won in their careers." "With all that has transpired for the TW PR engine, this must feel like chipping in from 25 yards for a double bogey or topping a turd with whipped cream and a cherry," writes Hooked on Golf Blog. "But on the bright side at least there IS whipped cream and a cherry." Over at the HuffPo, Lisa Solod Warren found no bright side, drawing an odd comparison between Tiger Woods and Barack Obama: "In the past few weeks, the two most famous and arguably most successful black men in America have taken a huge fall...[Tiger Woods and Barack Obama], the first black person to lead the country, suffer from a surfeit of hubris which has finally caught up with them." The backlash was swift: "Get it? They're both black* and Warren doesn't like their recent behavior, so there's automatically a parallel to be made!" snapped Feministing. Lisa Solod Warren then Tweeted, "I am the naive one. I never expected the post in HuffPo yesterday to go viral. I'm not a racist but it will be hard to convince otherwise."
